Jack Wells met Max in kindergarten at Southridge school in 2003 and have remained best friends ever since. When Max's instrument became the guitar, Jack opted for the piano, his passion since the very beginning. Ever since, he has wowed audience members - and us, honestly - with how his hands fly over the keys. In addition to the piano, Jack plays the trombone equally well and is proudly part of the University of Western Ontario's marching band; we think it's just an excuse to keep his skills sharp. At the 2016 Envision Jazz Festival, Jack won the solo performance playing the Trombone and those strong jazz influences can be found throughout our music. Jack has a great ear for the mainstream contemporary side of music as well as the crazy technical side which is integral for us when we are writing.
Despite being stuck in Ontario at Western University studying business at Ivey for half the year, Jack spends the other half perfecting his piano skills, writing, performing, working, playing and going on Dairy Queen runs with us. 'Laid back style with the dreamiest blue eyes' best describes Jack, and he is one the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet.
His music influences include Queen, Kendrick Lamar, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder, Vulfpeck, U2 and depending on who he's talking to, High School Musical.
