Max Cunningham is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, arranger, composer and producer typically known for two things - his abundant locks of hair and for being a talented guitarist and bassist.  Piano started the musical path for Max but by the age of eight he discovered the guitar and has never looked back. He is always in search of new musical influences and sounds and devotes hours to the guitar, bass and drums, refining his style and mastering technique. He also plays keyboard and the occasional trumpet for good measure.

As a Southridge School Alumni, he played in both jazz and concert bands, was a member of two band projects, and is one of the founding members of The Escapes, version one.

Max now divides his time between SFU Beedie School of Business, The Escapes and emerging trio project, Ludic, with gifted artist Ayla Tesler-Mabe and brother Rhett.  With a refreshingly chill persona on and off the stage, Max never settles for the ordinary and strives to make every song we write the best it can be.

His core influences are Vulfpeck, Hiatus Kaiyote, Anderson Paak, Tank and the Bangas, D'Angello Theo Katzman, Jacob Collier, Snarkey Puppy, Knower, Stevie Wonder, J Dilla and Prince.
