The youngest of the Cunningham brothers, Rhett has been tapping out beats from the very young age of six and now at seventeen, he is already beyond his years as a drummer.  Today he is The Escapes drummer extraordinaire, the rhythm force behind Ludic, the emerging trio project he shares with brother Max and artist Ayla Tesler-Mabe, and the go to drummer of his school jazz and concert bands. Soft spoken and reflective, Rhett often stands back and lets us muddle through the creative process but then offers the input that pulls it all together.  When he speaks, we listen. Currently attending Southridge School with still a year to go, Rhett likely sees sciences in his future at University. He masterfully juggles the rigours of long class days, two busy bands, work, family and friends better than most of us.

Funny, hardworking and committed to getting it right, we love and appreciate Rhett for not only his dry sense of humour but for the dedication he puts into his drumming that can be heard every single time we perform.  His musical influences include Hiatius Kaiyote, Miles Davis, Vulfpeck, Snarkey Puppy, Maroon 5 - Songs about Jane era, Tyler the Creator and Knower.
